FAQ

The questions everyone asks — answered straight.

Is this a scam?

No — and here's how to check: my identity is verifiable via a published PGP key, I never ask for upfront payment, you encrypt your own data before sending it, and I publish exactly what I will and won't do. Scammers do the opposite of all of that.

Will you recover files that aren't mine?

No. Every job requires proof that the data belongs to you. I won't help with anything you can't prove you own.

What if you can't recover it?

Then you pay nothing. No-key, no-fee is literal — if I don't recover your access, there's no charge.

How is my data protected?

You encrypt sensitive material in your own browser to my public key before it ever leaves your machine. I retain it only as long as needed, purge it on completion, and never log recovered secrets.

Why is there no office?

I work solo and online. That keeps overhead low (part of why I can offer no-key-no-fee) without weakening security — the same encryption and audit trail apply.
